4K video
Videos from 4K sources are not supported. If the source is in 4K format, when playing, there will be a black screen without projection
Please allow me to clarify that our machine is a native 1080p projector that also supports 4K videos. Projectors on the market supporting 4K videos will transcode the 4K video source to 1080p, which ultimately presents a 1080p picture quality.
Sound-related issues
May I know what device you connected with the projector, is it a laptop, DVD player, or TV stick?

1. If you are connecting the device with the Dolby sound feature, please do remember to close the “Dolby sound option” or there will be no sound.
The reason is this projector does not support Dolby’s Audio decoding due to the copyright Dolby, so you need to close the Dolby option of the device.
How our customers close the Dolby of the fire stick: setting–>Audio, then select “Dolby Digital plus OFF”.
2. For cable box: set the Audio Output of your cable box from “Auto/Dolby” to “PCM”, then reboot it and connect it to the projector, you will have the sound.
Different versions of the cable boxes may have another set, but the Dolby setting must be in the Audio/Dolby settings, it may also be this option “Dolby Digital plus OFF”.
3. Please check the Youtube link about the projector no sound issue Video

We recommend you to connect a Bluetooth speaker, if you feel the volume is too low in some scenario,Procedure for dealing with NO SOUND issue:
If you do not hear audio only when trying to play a movie or TV show in surround sound, then it is possible that your TV, AVR, or soundbar does not support the surround sound format used by the content provider (e.g. Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos, etc.).
Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
Scroll up or down and select Settings.
Select Audio.
Set Audio mode to Stereo.
Set HDMI to PCM-Stereo.

Some 4k videos may have poor sound quality, low volume, or no sound at all due to incompatibility issues. Please try lowering the video resolution to 1080p and see if that helps.
It is normal that there is a delay in wireless connection, it is recommended that you connect the Bluetooth device as close as possible to the projector, and do not place radiation or interference around the projector.
Screen Spot

The black spots or white spots on the screen may be due to dust entering, leading to the screen inside the LCD having a little thing.
You can try cleaning the dust with a cotton swab. Here is a video that can solve this problem:Video

1.Turn the projector upside down to access its bottom, and the projector stays ‘Power on’.
(Attention: Do not look directly into the lens while the projector is running, as strong light may damage your eyes.)
2.Tear that label off, and remove the cover of the cleaning window.
3.Gently wipe the lens and both sides of the screen inside the cleaning window with a cotton swab until the black spots are removed.
4.RECOMMEND:That would be better to clean the dust-proof filter every two months. Just open the dust cap, remove the dust screen and wipe it by tissues.

This problem occurs mainly because the projector is not turned off or disconnected from the power supply for a long time, which causes the projector to overheat and cannot quickly dissipate heat.
Please give us your address, we will send you a new replacement for free.

To prevent such occurrences in the future, we recommend following these guidelines:
1. Cooling and Usage Recommendations: It’s advisable to allow the projector to cool down properly after extended use. Typically, turning off the projector after 4-6 hours of continuous operation can help prevent overheating and potential lens issues.
2. Ventilation: Ensure that the projector is placed in a well-ventilated area to facilitate proper airflow. This can help maintain optimal operating temperatures and prolong the lifespan of the equipment.
3. Regular Maintenance: Periodically clean the projector’s air filters and ensure there are no obstructions around the ventilation vents.

Brightness

To adjust the brightness and contrast of the screen, please click “Settings”, choose “Picture Mode” and switch it to “User”; then you can adjust the following parameters by yourself.
However, Please note that these settings are primarily intended for engineers to debug the parameters. Our engineers have set the optimal brightness and contrast values after multiple attempts. This ensures the machine’s high performance and facilitates long-term use of the bulb.

Several factors can influence the perceived brightness, including ambient lighting conditions, screen size, and projection distance. To address this issue effectively, we recommend considering the following:

Ambient Lighting: Ensure that the room is dark enough when using the projector, as bright ambient lighting can significantly affect the perceived brightness of the projection.
Projection Distance: Adjust the projector’s distance from the screen or wall, as positioning can affect the brightness of the displayed image.
Projection Surface: The color and material of the projection surface can impact image brightness. A high-gain screen may enhance brightness.
Brightness Settings: Adjust the projector’s brightness settings on the device that you’re connecting to the projector, such as a laptop or streaming device.

Aspect Ratio
Please note that our projector only allows aspect ratio adjustments during video playback.
To adjust the aspect ratio, kindly click on ‘Menu’ while playing a video, then switch to ‘Option’ to adjust the aspect ratio.
Zoom(Model No.: JQ818C)
Please find attached a video tutorial on how to zoom, which I hope you will find helpful:Video

Please note that you can use the zoom feature exclusively during video playback.
To zoom in or out, simply adjust while playing the video or after accessing the Miracast page.

Fan Noise
The reasons for the loud fan noise in a projector can include the following factors:
1. Heat Dissipation Requirements: Projectors generate heat during operation, and the fan’s role is to dissipate this heat to ensure the projector functions properly.
2. Dust and Dirt: Fans may not run smoothly due to the accumulation of dust or other debris, leading to increased noise.

To reduce projector fan noise, you can try the following methods:
1. Provide Adequate Ventilation: Ensure the projector has enough space around it for proper airflow, aiding in cooling and reducing the fan load.
2. Use External Cooling Devices: If you frequently use the projector in high-temperature environments, consider using external cooling devices such as cooling pads or fans to help lower the projector’s temperature and alleviate the internal fan’s workload.

No Projection
Please perform the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Ensure that the lens cap is removed from the projector. Sometimes, this can obstruct the projection.
2. Double-check the HDMI or other input source connections to make sure they are secure and correctly set.
3. Please inspect the projector’s lamp or LED light source. If it is not illuminating, this could indicate a hardware issue.

USB Flash Drives
1. The projector does not support a U disk to play word documents, PPT, and other document files, if you want to play related documents, please use the computer to play through the HDMI cable.
2. If the U disk icon does not pop up, it may be a problem with the U disk. the projector is not compatible with the 3.0 U disk, only supports 2.0, Please try to change a U disk.
1. After the projector is turned on, insert the U disk, and the U disk icon will pop up on the projection screen.
2. Play video and select “Movie”; play music, select “Music”; play picture, and click “Photo”.

Note: The projector does not support a U disk to play word documents, PPT, and other document files, if you want to play related documents, please use the computer to play through the HDMI cable.

If the USB flash drive icon does not pop up, there may be a problem with the USB flash drive.
Please try to insert the USB flash drive into other devices to check whether the USB flash drive is available or not.

This issue may arise if your USB flash drive is formatted in exFAT or exceeds 32 GB in size. Our current projector supports USB flash drives formatted in FAT32 or NTFS. It does not support the exFAT format. Additionally, please note that the projector can only recognize flash drives with a capacity of up to 32 GB.

If you use the USB drive, especially on a MAC, use MS-DOS. DO NOT USE ex-FAT or FAT32. They don’t seem to be recognized. Also, NTFS works as well, but that is a Windows format.

PPT
Here are 2 ways to play PPT files:
1. Download the PPT file to your laptop and connect the laptop to the projector in order to present the PPT file.
2. Convert PPT files to JPG. format, store them on the USB and play them via USB.
Note: When playing, click “OK” and select “Repeat One” . Turning the page by next/previous track).

Does not turn on/Does not work
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and address the issue if your projector does not turn on:

1. Try to turn the machine off and then wait for 1 day and then test again.
2. Ensure that the power source to the projector is stable. Use a direct power outlet rather than a power strip or extension cord.
3. Overheating can sometimes cause projectors to shut down. Confirm that the projector has proper ventilation, and the cooling fan is functioning.
4. Inspect the projector’s lamp or LED light source. If it is not illuminating, this could indicate a hardware issue.

Temperature
We are sorry to hear about the issues you’ve described, including unexpected shutdowns, and concerns about the temperature.

To promptly address these issues, we recommend the following steps:
1. Power Supply: Ensure that the projector is connected to a stable power source and try using a different power outlet.
2. Ventilation: Confirm that the projector has proper ventilation, and there are no obstructions blocking the air vents.

Power Plug
We apologize for any inconvenience you’ve encountered with the power cord.
We want to assure you that the power cord provided with our projector adheres to international standards and is designed to be fully compatible with the unit.
To address the issue you’ve mentioned, I recommend applying a bit more pressure when inserting the power cord into the projector’s power port to ensure a secure connection.
Sometimes, due to the tight fit of international standard connectors, a bit of force may be required to establish the connection.
Additionally, it’s normal for a small portion of the power port to be exposed after the power cord is inserted.
Please perform a test by powering on the projector. If the projector starts up successfully, it indicates that the power connection is secure.
Remote Controller
Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue with your projector remote control. Here are three steps you can take to troubleshoot:
1. Please try replacing the batteries with new ones.
2. When installing the batteries, please ensure correct polarity (+ and -) to avoid incorrect insertion.
3. When using the remote control please align the remote control signal transmitter to the projector’sinfrared signal reception window.
The reason the remote control isn’t working is that the contact pillar for the positive end of the battery has become loose and collapsed, intermittently failing to make contact with the battery terminals, thus causing the remote control to lose power.
Please contact our after-sales service to deal with it.(Our e-mail is: service@groviewtec.com)
